Created for Covenant
This opening message in our marriage series invites you to see your marriage as a real “house” with its strengths, flaws, and hidden rooms—and to welcome God into it as it actually is.
Drawing from Genesis 1–2, we look at God’s original design for marriage: men and women as equal image bearers, created for purpose, relationship, and a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman with God at the center—a “cord of three strands.” The sermon unpacks the true meaning of “helper” as one who completes what is incomplete, and challenges husbands and wives to serve, lead, and love like Christ.
Recognizing the brokenness many experience, the message offers hope and practical next steps—healing, discipleship, counseling, and community—while affirming the equal value and belonging of everyone: married, divorced, widowed, or single.
