The Story Isn't Over

This Easter message reminds us that the resurrection is not just a historical event, but a living declaration that our stories are never truly over. Drawing from Luke 24, we encounter the women at the tomb, the confused disciples on the road to Emmaus, and Peter's dawning realization that something unprecedented has occurred. The central tension is profound: Jesus walks alongside two grieving disciples for seven miles, yet their sadness blinds them to His presence. Only when He breaks bread with them do their eyes open to recognize Him. This speaks directly to our own lives. How often do our circumstances, our pain, our unbelief, or even our religious complacency blind us to Jesus walking right beside us? Whether we're struggling with doubt like Peter, overwhelmed by grief like the Emmaus disciples, or dismissive like the other apostles, the resurrection declares that defeat becomes victory and endings become beginnings. The invitation is clear: open your eyes to see Christ in the midst of your mess, invite Him in, and recognize that no matter how dark your current chapter feels, God is still writing redemption into your story.
